I have been relaxing since the break in the tour. I only got off my ass to do the next video and I came back only to be lazy again with my two favorite girls. This is the life I tell you. There is a such thing in life as being happy and not bored. It just takes work to make sure you keep the spark going. Anyway here is the premier for "Our Time Now" video. I think this was the best time I had yet doing this. We got to portray one of my favorite moves. Enjoy.

I'm actually going to talk about one of my songs.
While I'm tour with Dave Savage I realized when I sing this one song it holds a lot of meaning for me from then and to this day.
So bare with my sappy ass, please.
I don't know how to make lots of money

I started writing this about five years ago but didn't finish it for a long time. While I was on tour with you and moving on to my next tour with Zeke. I knew the moment I left you behind that nothing would be the same. How, I had know idea. I was just starting out and all I had was the guitar on my back and promise to call. I'm was making my way up and yet I was thinking ...even then about this life I could have. I thought it was far from out of my reach and that you were way to good for me. You still are. Funny how things chance with just one call. Yet with that one call I didn't blink. I already knew then what I wanted and needed to do. I guess you can say I'm an old fashion guy and at that time I didn't have a whole lot, until after that I felt like I had everything. Scared out of my mind, a guitar on my back, a promise in my pocket and the world waiting for me on the other end.
I don't know that I'd make a good soldier
I don't believe in being violent and cruel
I don't know how to fight, but I'll draw blood tonight
If somebody tries hurting you tonight
I'm not much of a fighter. Anyone that knows me might say I'm geek with a heart and no understanding of how to pull a punch. I wasn't the kid that got into school yard fights when I was younger. In fact I have never been in a fight and don't know if I would ever be good in one. If it came to you and our little girl, nothing could keep me from trying anyway. It wasn't easy for us all the time. I did learn how to fight when it came to us and holding on to that promise. I never gave up as much as you hated me for that and sure if we never had her you would have had every right to never want to see me again. Lucky for me you are stuck with me for years on end. As many times as you have thrown things at me and I got my ducking skill to the matrix level, I'm still here. I think I'm stronger for it and if anything was to happen I know that strength would be put to good use.

After Lyric was born all the words for this song came together. I remember giving this song many names. I even thought about naming it after you, but at the time you were pissed at me for naming songs after girls. We can laughed about that now right?
The line I've got your loving and you've got my song came to me the instanced we names her Lyric. So I knew that this was more about you or our journey, but her as well.
I don't know how to make lots of money
I don't know all the right things to do
I can't say where we'll go, but the one thing I know
Is how to be a good man to you
Until I die that's what I'll do
Even then I was still having a hard time wrapping my head around being a father. All I could think about was being the best for her and you. I was still just starting out and had nothing....but my guitar, the promise that was still keeping warm in my pocket and holding my world in my arms. Which might not look like much to other, but was everything to me. If anything I'm a better song writer for it. I made make my mistakes, I still do and say stupid things all the time...I might even forget to call when I say I will. I didn't know what was going to happen to me then. Did I see me winning a Grammy or topping the charts? I think it more that I was working hard to give you all the things you deserve. If that meant traveling the world, writing songs for other people, or making lattes for struggling writers. I just knew I would be the best at what ever I was going to do. Look how well that all worked out for me. If anything you made me who I am today. Still I take my commitment to heart and try to do right by you both.

I'm still in a little shock. I'm have to say I'm having the best week ever. I'm moving, getting ready for a tour with Dave Savage and Mia DiLuca. Who also won, congrats guys! Also Zeke you are the man as always and it was great to see you all. But walking with THIS hottie on my arm feels so much better to me than the Grammy that is in my left hand. We called Lyric right away and I think she is more excited then I am. All she could really say is she wants that new gold toy. Anyone know where I can get a fake Grammy at this time of night? Did I say this was the best night ever? Must be the fact that someone love me. I'm a sap I know.
Again grates to all the winners. You all looked great and yes ever you Sky.
